Version 0.2.0a has released! It took a little while, considering my life has been pretty busy lately, causing me to be lazier with game development, but it’s here!
This version includes significant polish, bugfixes, and quality of life updates, and the first layer is now basically fully completed. Now the game should be actually playable!
A Youtube trailer for the game is coming out soon, and after that I’m going to focus on completing the content layer 2. I’ve got some good plans for it. Keep an eye out for the 0.3.0a update, coming soon to an itch.io near you! (It might take a little longer than this one did to come out though, some big features are coming)
Changelog
- In total darkness there is now a subtle soupy background
- Knockback works properly – before, entities’ velocity would just be set to 0
- Added some post-Gourdon content in layer 1
- You can now craft and switch drills while not in intermission
- You can now rearrange items in your hotbar using your mouse with a little menu in the inventory screen
- Makes shrines more common (these have very important items for progression)
- The hitbox for Gourdon’s shockwave is a little shorter
- Killing enemies now looks a bit nicer
- Some general balance changes
